All appointments booked online are 'requested' until confirmed by staff in order to ensure appropriate bookings. You will receive a confirmation email once confirmed.

There is two-step authentication every time you access the patient portal without CHR Connect
When a patient logs in to the patient portal, they must verify their identity by entering a one time passcode, which is received through an email or text message.
Many simple appointment types are available to book online, but some appointments require that you call the clinic and speak with office staff in order to book. These usually include more complex appointments
Our clinic staff are happy to book these appointments for you when you call.

Some administrative or clinical services are not covered by your provincial health insurance and as such are the responsibility of the patient.
We aim to keep our fees as low as possible for our patients. Our current fee schedule can be found HERE
Please discuss any uninsured service or forms with clinic staff before asking your physician to complete.
You will be notified by our office if there is a need to follow up on test results. Results can't be discussed over the phone, you must book an appointment with your physician.
If you are not contacted by our office and you are still experiencing symptoms or your condition worsens, please call the office to book an appointment.
After practicing family medicine in Canmore for over 40 years, Dr Quinlan will be retiring on Dec 31st, 2023.
A letter was mailed to all of his current patients to notify them about his upcoming retirement. The clinic is happy to accommodate current patients who are full-time residents of the Bow Valley under an episodic care model until a new physician can be recruited. You can read more about episodic care here. Please call the clinic to book an appointment to see one of the other physicians.
For patients who live outside of the Bow Valley, we ask that for your convenience you seek a family physician closer to your permanent address. Unfortunately, we simply do not have the capacity to provide episodic care for you.
