What is Episodic or Walk in Care?

Episodic care allows patients who don’t have a primary care provider to have their presenting concern addressed without an expectation of ongoing care relationship.

In-person appointments will be required by all patients, phone appointments will not be offered.

Patients will only be notified of investigations, such as laboratory tests or diagnostic imaging which require follow up.

We will not contact you with normal results, if your symptoms persist or worsen, it is your responsibility to follow up.

If you visit an Emergency Room, you may be asked who your family doctor is. These physicians are not considered your family doctor.

More information can be found by visiting the College of Physicians and Surgeons Alberta: https://cpsa.ca/physicians/standards-of-practice/episodic-care/
